ST PAUL St Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of clothes, accessories and technology by designer Diana Eng. New York based Eng will be visiting AUT in January as CoLab’s first artist in residence for 2011.

Project Runway participant, Victoria's Secret designer and author of the DIY ‘Fashion Geek: Clothes, Accessories, Tech’ book Diana is a co-founder of a hacker collective called NYC Resitor, a resident with Eyebeam and ran an interactive web video programme called Fairy Tale fashion, showing ways of incorporating science and technology into fashion and using viewer feedback to create designs for a fashion show at the end. Her work has been featured in outlets such as the cover of ID Magazine and the Boston Globe.

Eng's residency programme, developed in association with the Textile Design Lab and ST PAUL St Gallery will include a series of workshops in the CoLab Summer Workshop Series on ‘Geek Fashion’, a master class with the Textile Design Lab on Illuminated knitwear, an industry evening and two research meetings with industry, staff and students.
